I opened a salon mid year in 2012 for "fun"! Turns out not only do I have my "real job" but also the salon.
It did better than expected but now I have 3 employees I need to pay for.
Hope everyone does well in 2013.... cant wait for it to get busy and see what its really like.

Yep, made tree fifty today. But, ya know, I'm still havin' fun. Two more weeks and I really get busy.

$350 would be great!! I feel good when I make $100 bucks in a day!

We are the lowest in town- almost by half!! It's so hard getting people to try us out! Once they are there they love it... getting them there is a problem

We got cranking earlier this year thanks to the Eagles being dreadful. Normally its playoff time each weekend might as well be closed those weekends.

Down all around, over saturated market. Now its even more over saturated with 10 plus zoom tan coming in, no more tanning under 16 at all. keeping my fingers crossed for 2013 but not getting my hopes up.

According to these stats, 33 of 50 repondents or 66% of you say the # of tanners is same or down over last year. A bad sign for the industry as a whole. The total market is shrinking. A whole generation of tanners is being scared away.
