Warm solution!? Is it ruined?

Hey everyone, I left a bottle of my solution sitting on my dryer. My dryer was running for a couple hours. When I felt the soultion it wasn't hot, a hair warmer than room temp. Did I ruin it? How can I tell if it's ruined?

If the bottle was new (full) and capped tightly you're probably fine. Heat and oxygen are the two killers for solution. If it was a new bottle subjected to heat for a couple of hours then it's not much different than the bottle sitting on an UPS truck in the summer on its way to your location. Check for discoloration (green tint) and bad smell. If you're not experiencing either one then I would use it.

The bottle had been open. No bad smell though, or green tint, whew! Thank you so much!

We talked to a tech in Nashville that pre-warms his solution (in the spray gun cup) in a warm water bath before applications.

I do this exact thing before I spray someone. I keep the solution in the fridge and warm it before application because it would be so cold for the client.

What's the best way to warm it?

Re: Warm solution!? Is it ruined?

I fill a glass bowl a little over half way full (probably 3 cups of water) and microwave it for 5 minutes. I then put the plastic cup that is filled with solution down in the water for 5 or so minutes. It feels warm to the touch but most of my clients say it's cool when I spray them. But if I didn't warm it, the solution would be freezing!

I don't think there's any point in warming the solution . We sometimes spray HOT water through the gun when cleaning it out, and it still comes out cold. Doesn't matter.

I was told in Nashville that there's no need to refrigerate opened solution . I'm going to be leaving mine at room temp.

I find that keeping it refrigerated keeps it fresh for the shelve life of the solution .

Every day I set aside what I'm going to use according to the amount of appointments for the day. That way it is already at room temperature when used. At the end of the day if I happen to have little left I keep it aside for the next day. I don't pour it back into the original container.
