One customer went to an "unknown" type booth, said it sprayed little beads of color on her skins, then she was responsible for rubbing it in and making it even. Anyone know what kind of booth that is.. or is she just crazy? Looking to buy one and want to make sure that its not that type of booth. Thanks for your input! Can anyone tell me horror stories of what type of booth you have been in, or USED to have available and advise me not to purchase..all help appreciated. PS..if you have nothing good to say about ANY booths, thats not really being helpful. |

Make sure you TRY any booth you buy!!!!! No matter how far you have to drive or fly, no matter how inconvenient. Don't make a 15-40K investment without trying it! Spray booths and spray tans are NOT like tanning beds! They require a lot more 'education' and diligence to get a good result. In a tanning bed, you lay down, and as long as too much time isn't sent, it is pretty much a "good" result. With spray tans , it depends on the quality of the booth, the quality of the solution AND the quality of education given to the tanner and how well they follow that instruction! In general, on this site, you see a lot of positive feedback from owners of Mystic and Magic Tan booths. JohnnyComeLately is satisfied with his Miracle Mist booth (although some recent problems?) but no other users on here that have been vocal. The few users of Mist-on here all (Totaleclipse, others?) seem satisfied (the same technology as the Mystic). JeffinKC liked his ITS booth for the month (?) it has been in place (for sale now - see classifieds) and Dwhite is enthused about her soon-to-be-installed Cal Tan booth. And of course Ramcat was always an enthusiastic proponent of the booth he distributes, the Celebrity spray booth. Get past those, and you are taking your chances. There are MANY spray booths on the market, and a large majority of the other brands have had less than average results and/or less than average customer service experiences associated with them. |

I have a $30,000 towel holder in my salon, however, I do like the booths. Just make sure you spend some time with each client to make sure they are doing it properly. If they are happy, they will tell two friends etc... I like the magic better than the mystic.. people like the glass doors and the new magic allows a hand gun for touch ups. One more tip.. buy used and not new.. make sure the booth works. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have a ITS Booth and love it so far, the salesman are nice and are always helpful. My first Booth was damaged in shipping (shipping departments fault) and they had no problem replacing it. While I was waiting for new Booth someone was sent here to fix booth enough for me to use till i got my new one. During my waiting time I only let my weekly customers use the first booth. (which most have transfered from airburshing them to the booth). I always show the video to every new client on how to stand in the booth, then show them again once in the room and have pictures on the walls for standing positions. I always let them know there first time they may miss in their inner legs or arms but I give them their second one free and by then they pretty much got it down. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The Custom Spray booth has been a money maker for me. Its all stainless steel and no plastic pasts. Cost under $20k. I find the word of mouth after my initial promotion has been the biggest reason I keep getting more clients. With all the health horror stories I hear anymore I stopped doing airbrushing. |

People can not only chose an appropriate level, but also a clear or brown solution which gives a lot of customizing options. We also have a Norvell airbrush unit, but hands down the Mystic is more popular. Our record is 22 sprays is one day. Obviously, it is not always that busy (sometimes 2-5, sometimes 0 in a day). Typically, on Thursdays and Fridays we do about a dozen each day. |
