When the fingerprint ID is in use does it verify the customer (customer must first be brought up on screen) or actually initiate the invoice (customer places finger on device, device sends info to computer, computer selects customer and brings up info on screen)?

Currently the thumbprint sensor is being used as a 1 to 1 verification module. You have to bring up the client first then verify their print matches what is stored in their client profile. As technology becomes faster, the sensor will be able to do 1 to many identification and bring customers up via their thumbprint.
