PrePaid Dollars

When someone comes in and pays for 2 single visits, how do you enter the prepaid dollars at the point of sale. I have figured out how to back door this (changing the transaction and using Master Edit to add the Prepaid Dollars), but I would like to be able to do it on the front end. Does anyone do this?

we just ring up two vists and it adds the visit to their account.Someone from tech support can help you set up your codes for prepaid. Ours is set up and it is certainly a blessing to have,give helios tech support a call

It is very easy to set up a prepaid sales code so that when a person does this you can charge them for the visit they are using and put money into the prepaid account without having to use master edit. Using master edit is way too slow when you are in a hurry.

So should I set up prepaid codes for all of my packages? or can I just create one code to handle all of the prepaids? On another note, I don't know how you could ring up 2 visits in one day because for single visits it sets the bed when you ring it up, or at least that is how I have it set up to eliminate key strokes. I couldn't do that twice in a row on the same customer, at lease not in my heavily regulated state. Anyway, can someone walk me through the process of created prepaid codes? I feel like I am competent in the basic funtionality of Helios, but I have very limited knowledge of the extra features this system can do, i.e. tracking prepaid dollars, freezing memberships, EFTs, etc. The training module I received didn't seem to have any of this information in it. Because I am not at the salon during the day, I was hoping that someone here could help me out so that I do not have to make an after hours call to Helios Tech Support. Anyway, if someone can provide more detail, I would really appreciate it.

Just set up one prepaid code and then you use it for whatever you want. When you use the F5 key for payment number 7 is for prepaid. It does not care what you use it for. On how to take two tans off for a bed we set up a code called T2 which takes two tans off. This is easy to do, when you set up the code just make it take 2 tans off in the field under Pkg/Mem. If you have any trouble doing this just let me know and I will help you out.

It is probably so simple that I am over-complicating it. Okay, so I create a sales code called prepaid??? At what do I set the default price??? I think I am not following. I know how to use prepaid dollars when ending a sale, I just don't know how to tell the computer that a customer gave me $14, $7 for today, and $7 for their next visit. You know? I am sorry I seem so dense right now, but for some reason I am not getting it.

We've worn out the PP code through the years what with taking upgrade money while the bed is busy. You gotta set up a prepay code. Go to sales code adn enter what you want to call it (I use PP) and check the prepay option at the top. I use "variable" as the payment option at the bottom right because I want to type in at the point of sale whatever the amount of dollars they are giving me to go into their account. SO if a tan today is $7.00 you enter the tan in, and then let's say they also give you $7.00 for the next tan, put that in on the very next line with the new prepay code you set up, let's say PP for $7.00. That $7.oo will fly up into the prepay column on their profile, to be used the next time. SO your sale total for today is $14.00. Now when they come in the next time you enter the tan code and pay for it with prepay dollars as a payment choice. You'll see the $7.00 in their prepay accounet go to zero (watch fast!).A help module would have been nifty for this program (they used to have a half decent one several versions ago) and maybe someday they'll put one in.

Online and Interactive HELP in again active in Ver 9.4.0 coming shortly.Gene, it is not totally complete but Tony has directed Development and Tech Support to install what is done (most / all lot of it).In any area of the program you press F1 (Help) and you will "get help" related to were you are in the system !!!!It has been a while but it is back and great!
