That is the answer Larry!!Jagger, in addition to Required Clock In - leave the second related tick set to both. I am honestly not sure what Non-Revenue relates to (I will find out), Revenue relates to making sales - Both covers all base regardless.

I didn't find any difference between revenue or non-revenue with regards to the "clocked in?" pop up. Does it make sense for a behind the desk person to input data for her shift and not collect revenue? Also, be careful here. I changed some employees to require clock in and it asked "IS THIS FOR REVENUE OR NON-REVENUE?" when they clocked in. If a bed cleaner selects non revenue, as mine correctly did--well, when you print the time clock report there is also a defaulted check mark there for "revenue." Print the report and your bed cleaner will not be there! You would have to run the report again and uncheck revenue. Not worth the bother. This detail and the fact that I couldn't disable this feature (even when I unchecked it in the empoyee set-up) caused me to forget the whole thing about warning employees to clock in. It seems too complicated now and I don't remember it being so in older versions. Besides, employees forget just as often to clock out and Helios doesn't warn about that until the next day when the person clocks in. It would be nice if Helios warned about that before it shuts down for the night when memories are fresher..[ July 22, 2001: Message edited by: Gene ]

In the message field for employees it would be nice if you could delete more than one message at a time. It would also be nice if you could make the message show up only until the employee has acknowledged it and it would be nice if you could pick the employee off the pop up screen on the F2 key and make them appear in the box to send message to. Now you can scan the employee but not choose them. If any of these things can be done now and I am not doing them right please let me know.

I woud like to be able to search by birthdate. For when my employees misspell someones name or they put last name first or first name last or when a client gets married and you forget the new last name.

I'd like Helios to add EFT monthly draft monies to the client's summary tab. It adds it to the reports and in every other way but not to this so it unreports the client's spending.

I'd like to be able to multi-task.

Too often when I'm working on the Sales Code file, some comes in and I have to exit to put them in then start over.

Also many times I'm working a sale on one customer when another comes in. If I close out the POS by using In House charge, then finish and use payment, it actually double counts the sale - once as In-house, then again as payment.

Gene - EFT post added to Summary Tab info - good point, I will draw this to the attention of Helios Tech Support.

Bart - "multi task" I sure know what you mean here. When I am helping set up a location for a client and testing Sales Codes - in and out in and out. Great Idea I will pass it on. ONE POINT here - rather than starting over - SAVE what you have and pick it up from there when you come back in.

Bart - "Multiple POS Sessions" - last July this was one of the EXCELLENT Salon Explorer features that Tony was planning to incorporate into Helios - "to be able to SUSPEND one POS session, do another and return to the suspended session and complete it" I wander if V10 will have it or will it be V10X or V11??

I always set up a Division 7 in sales codes called Other Non Sales Revenue. I connect Gift Certificates, Prepaids, Paid on Accounts to this Division to keep these funds out of Normal Tanning and Lotion Sales. Ususally set up 3 separate Departments for each of the above for breakdown by Department (Dept 27, 28, 29)

Hoping this helps
