| I was initially a little unsure about this device, no longer - the time has indeed come. Many salon owners at the shows were asking "What do clients think?". First of all you need to help people understand that it does NOT actually take and store your "FingerPrint". The device does a digital assessment of your Fingerprint and stores an assigned value to that assessment. It does and compares 4 "readings" prior to storing the value. Then in future it compares the assessed value of the new print to the stored value to comfirm recognition.IT WORKS GREAT and IT IS QUICK!!!Together with the new Multiply and Value functions in Sales Codes you can greatly reduce the number of Codes you require to Tan Clients.Couple of issues:You will want to have a code for Tanning on Minutes or Sessions that requires Fingerprint confirmation BUT you will also want a separate code for walkin that do not - the issue here is that the Fingerprint confirmation is to protect the use of the clients prepaid values for the client. You may also want to be ready with a separate code for Tanning on Minutes or Sessions WITHOUT the Fingerprint confirmation - TonyT has todate (4 months) have a very few clients (elderly) that DO NOT have any "impression" left on there fingers!!! You would then monitor the use of these codes related to clients. The device is also very useful for employee clockin and also confirmation of employee use of secured functions (employees and observe the keying of a password but not a fingerprint comparison)Hope this help - this is an excellent investmentAndy |

| A second issue here George relates to Elderly clients that have actually over the years of their rewarding life woren away their "FingerPrints". Hard to believe but true.It is necessary to have second codes here to tan such clients and you can monitor that staff are not abusing these codes. Some will conclude that this defeats the advantage of this device but honestly the occurances are infrequent. In my view it is simple - if you feel this technology is not for you or your salon do not use it. If you like it and can work around the challenges great - go for it.He/She gave us the ability to choose - Next.Andy ThompsonCOMPU-Bits |

Rep Power: 0 | Andy:We have a new feature in Helios for those few rare instances where clients do not have a finger print! Give the the membership type of NFP (no fingerprint) and they can tan on any package or membership and not be required to confirm their identity. ONLY GIVETHIS MEMBERSHIP TO CLIENTS WHERE THE OWNER HAS CONFIRMED THE RARE OCCURENCE OF NO FINGERPRINT!!!!This was a tip we got from George Rose and I felt it was such a good idea that I had this feature added to the next update. Thanks George. This is a classic example of the tremendous advantage Helios has over the competition because we are the only tanning salon software on the market where the owner regularly uses his product. This gives us the ability to quickly see the need for features/technology and to quickly recognize a good idea when are customers suggest one! Tony T.Helios User & President |
