Rep Power: 0 | What is the best salon software? I currently operate with Helios and a Tmax manager pro and i'm having some troubles with how the software works. Random large time values (200 Minutes etc) are being sent to the beds without being provoked by any of my staff. We'll be sitting in the salon and not touching the computer and all of a sudden we hear a beep! and time is sent to the bed. The other day 207 mins was sent to a 7 min Sun Capsule Super Sonic (7 min bed with a 7 min tmax timer chip). The only way to reset the bed is to remove the Tmax 3A wall plate, disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect the power and install back into the wall. We called Helios and they say it's a Tmax issue, and Tmax is saying it's a Helios issue. Either way, it's someone's issue and really screws with the operation of my business. Anyone else have this issue? |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: What is the best salon software? We have 5 salons in northern Indiana and use a proprietary POS that was built specifically for our business several years ago. Customers can use their tanning at any one of our salons since our POS uses a central server. Helios is a strong candidate in my book because I understand it has the largest user base. Safety in numbers. In going through a Helios demonstration and reviewing all of their technical documentation, I became concerned because it seems that Helios does not handle unlimited packages very well. We offer week, month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year unlimiteds. We only need week, month and year unlimiteds for five different levels of tanning. So what is the best networked tanning salon POS that supports single sessions, session packages, unlimiteds for a week, month or year at 5 different levels, in addition to five different EFT levels? |

Rep Power: 18 | Re: What is the best salon software? FT2007 Helios has a more robust POS then the others. Sunlync is a close competitor but Helios is clearly superior from a POS side and yes there is safety in numbers. Helios is owned by the largest lotion company in our industry. JK pulled out of the US leaving Sunlync behind. Neither company has much innovation but Helios should be around longer! |
