locked out of tantrack
 

i can't do anything in tantrack under my code only one of my employees code will work & she has restricted access. Its like I've been deleted somehow & I can't get into the employees section to add myself back in. Any suggestions?

We too are having this issue! We can not even log in under our employee's number! So we are pretty much shut down til monday waiting for tech support to open! There goes our Mother's day sales. I called their emergency after hours number only to be told there is a MANDATORY CHARGE for them to call back!! No way, this is obviously not a problem we created so why should we pay to fix it? Anyone out there have a solution or dealt with fixing this?

Get rid of tan track. I there any way for you to run your store manually through the timer? There should be.

If you have a code then go to your set up and put in a new code for yourself. should be to the right of page PERMISSION, then check off all area meaning you have full control of Tan Track, you can limit the employee to just certain area , like myself only allowed to do sale open drawer and vacation only all other are not check off. been using Tan Track for 11 years. another hint let say you forgot the code like you have now just do another name ( Dummy )for only you and this way you can access the soft wear. enter all code to you cell phone notes.

Hopefully we can shed some light on the reason for lockouts.

The software has a security feature that is actually a requirement for PCI Compliance (PA-DSS Certification). This requirement states that after a specified number of login attempts an account must be locked out.

Yes, it can be a pain but its for good reason. If someone had hacked into your account and no such security feature existed, it could be far worse. Its the lesser of two evils so to speak.

We recommend first that you have two user accounts that have access to the employee area. This way if one does get locked out, you always have the other one to use to unlock the first.

Secondly, we also recommend that you do not use simple employee IDs. Especially ones that are close together that could be easily mistyped. For example 0001 and 0002. A simple typo could result in a bad login attempt from someone who isn't really trying to hack their way in.

All invalid login attempts are logged in the security logs for your review.

If you are completely locked out without a secondary user who has access to the employee screen, you will have to contact our support team.

I had this problem due to my own fat-fingering it so I made up a dummy employee so that if this ever happens again, I can go in under that dummy. Luckily I have honest employees so I have given them access to the dummy info also. Don't worry, I go in and check their movements to make sure no one is taking advantage. I love Tan Track--perfect or my small salon.

Always good to learn something here, as F9 key in tan track I dint know that, what other little trick you have up your sleeve.
