Rep Power: 0 | Tan Track w/fingerprint scanner For anyone using this software and the scanner together - how do you handle a fingerprint that won't scan? Tech support could only offer to disconnect the scanner, or turn it off when they come in (I am the only one with this permission). We have tried other solutions, but they are time consuming and with a long line behind them it's really not an option. Any thoughts or solutions? Thanks in advance! |

But, then I had to create an excel log called Emgerency Fingerprint log and they would have to leave the customers name, date, package type, bed used, expourse time etc. for me so then the next day I would go through the log and deduct the necessary tans from customers account and made sure the employees, but the "tracking note" in the customers account. That way if the customer said i think I should have 3 tans left I would have the visit history on each tanning visit whether inside the customer tanning history or the customer's notes. I know this is completely a long way of doing it, and seems a bit much, but it did work for us and I would often pull a report for the Emergency pkg I created and see how often it was being used and if it matched my excel sheet so I could tell if my employees were abusing it and giving "unknown" customers free tans. Again, a lot of work when you wished something would just work right. I can tell you I use Sunlync now and it has the most amazing feature (you may want to submit a feature request to tantrack to do this) it has an option of "refusing the customers fp" that way if it is just not working for them and they are getting frustrated or your line is starting to back up and you kNOW forsure its them you can hit refuse and it still tracks their history/deducts sessions if applicable etc. it is AwEsOmE and you know the customers who Fingerprints just won't work at all? they have a way that you can Exempt them from the fingerprint and a box will pop just for that customer that says they are Exempt!!! I can't tell you enough how much I love these features!!! GOod luck!

Rep Power: 21 | Re: Tan Track w/fingerprint scanner Have the finger print and have no issue, and for tan that are a mistake I set up tan under my name (owner) and check my info as to who use my tans and they haver to explain why also a note have to be left for me to check if they screw up. simple easy employee have to be MINDFULL as to what they are doing .also so you can only use your fingerprint to send to tan and clock in and out cut down on employee clocking in and out for each other and stealing tan from customer. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Tan Track w/fingerprint scanner we use it just to confirm Employee ID, some clients (2000 would be hard to remember) annoyed with repeating their name also grab it and scan, v. useful. you must download the driver of your scanner, choose the feature whether for the single station or networking etc., check the producer and search for their support, it took me a month until I got it worked the way I wanted. |
