Lamps blinking

Does anyone know what causes lamps to blink off and on throughtout the bed? Its like musical lamps.

If they are brand new then some lamps will require leaving them blink for several minutes until they stabilize.

True if on startup. Also, based on my experience, if you put 160 watt or greater lamps in an 100 watt application they will flicker all over for a second or two.

^^^Sometimes they will never start if the ballast is underpowered for the application.
