Rep Power: 0 | T-Max Manager stopped working We took over a salon in October and the first thing we did was add a computer, the only touch screen I could find in our location was an HP all in one. I didn't think about the Serial Port when I purchased it.. I purchased a USB to Serial converter and for the most part it was working (sometimes it would go down). It did come with software and I did install it. On Thursday my T-max manager worked fine but we had to move our desk and T-Max accidently dropped during the move. When I turned the computer back on my T-Max would not respond with the computer it shows it times out and sometime said it lost connections while I am testing it, I can use it manually without any problem. I replaced the 202 part that T-Max said might have gone bad but that didn't help either. I replaced the USB to Serial converter and that didn't help either. I tried to hook it to my laptop and it didn't work with that either. Any other suggestions besides buying another computer with a serial port? I was told I could not add a serial port to the all in one that I own since it is the all in one. Do you think I will have the same problem if I purchased another T-Max or do I need to start looking for another computer? Susan |
