Hey anyone have this problem? My salontouch is freezing up when I do anything except putting clients in the bed. Company says database is corrupt and it will cost $170 for the techs to talk me through the problem Please anyone have any help with this to save me the money !!!

The only time that salon touch ever freezes up is right when we start it up. It takes it a little while to read a fingerprint or when we try to go to our register.

But that sucks hope you get it fixed!

Do you back up your database? If you do you should be able to replace the database with your last backup. We run SunTouch which is the "old" version of this and have done this before. Our database file is sun.mdb (again this is for the older version of the program).

The only issue we had when having to do this is you have to go back and re-enter any sales and uses between the backup date and when you restore date.

Personally if you don't have someone who knows what they are doing, I would pay the $, but write down instructions they give you in case it happens again.
