Need desktop help - tanTALK

My desktop keyboard and mouse will not function once I reach the vista login screen. This makes it difficult to determine if any other pieces operating off the USB ports are impacted because I cannot login and attempt to use them. I have unplugged and replugged the items and the computer. I have tried the wireless mouse from my laptop without success. I know the keyboard is operational because I can use the F2 and F12 keys to reach setup windows during the boot process. I ran full diagnostic out of the boot window and all sections passed. Unfortunately, I do not know what to do after that.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.
