Helios 11.6 can't find server

We had a brief power outage at our salon last night.
However, when our PC started up again, Helios can't find the timer server.
Do you have any ideas?
I am reluctant to call Helios. In the 2 years that I have had the salon (1 of them on their warranty) nothing has been supported????

If you have suggestions to repair, I would appreciate.

I am running 11.6 Helios
Windows XP

We unplugged the Helios fob, unplugged T-Max, restarted the computer and nothing seems to work.
Oh. we don't have Norton anti-virus either. I read somewhere that Norton could prevent locating the t-max server.

Thank you!

Michele

Re: Helios 11.6 can't find server

Sounds like your computer IP address may have changed and thus does not match in Helios.

There is an easier way to get this, but I forget. But we need your computers IP address.

Click on Start and then Control Panel.
Click on Network Connections.

There should be one, or more, connections. One should be for the Local Area Connection (LAN).

Double-click to open it.
Click on the "support" tab.

Write down the I.P Address.

Open Helios.
Go to "settings" menu then "system".
Click on the "site info" tab.
Under Tim Server there is a location for an IP address. Its needs to match what you wrote down.

Try that stuff first.

Re: Helios 11.6 can't find server

so...I tried it and doesn't work. I even broke down and called Helios. Who CAN'T help me at the support desk? forwarded me to sales who he thinks is at lunch. GReat.
he told me I need to sign up for a support agreement, no per call payment for assistance.
Did this before and was told 90% of the time - We don't support that.
What did I pay for? This is why I cancelled a year ago.

So the IPs match? Did you re-launch Helios if you changed it?
