Variable pricing...

Really simple thing I want to do. I do NOT want to add another sales code.

So, the sales code is: WI

Thats for a walk-in. Right now helios has a base price then based on the bed selected adds a "fee" to adjust the price to that particular bed.

Works well.

But now I want to have a flat-fee for weekend tans to get some people in on the slower days.

So I want that same "WI" code to work on weekdays as normal but on the weekend be a flat price.

I have tried some stuff in money grid, price grid, no fees, subtracting time sensitive fees, adding this and that.

Seems I cant figure out a way to get it to work. It may not be possible but I thought I would ask.

Yes I can make another sales code then make then each work only on the days I want, but the idea is to have one sales code.

Thanks!

Re: Variable pricing...

We also discount walkins on sundays. I couldn't figure it out either so we had to add an additional code. You could also just discount it.

Re: Variable pricing...

Thats what I may have to have them do, but you would think there is a way to set this up. It looks like the money/price grid over-ride anything in the intelligence tab.

For bed use fees there is many options, just not sure what they are all for.

So far I have it setup with a base price, then a time sensitive fee adds $4 mon-fri. THEN I have the individual fees setup for the beds under intelligence.

That basically works fine as the base bed will come out to the discount price no weekends since no fee is applied. But the beds fees still get added. So it works on the base leve, but anything else has to get discounted.

On a side note, I could have also setup the time sensitive codes to discount on weekends and left the default price as is. Its the one area were prices can be subtracted also.

Re: Variable pricing...

Why wouldn't you want to track the number of Sunday tans by a specific code at the end of a week/month/year to see if the program was working? It would also help you track your promotional discounts.

Because I can run a weekend report based on the sales code.

The general idea is to not add yet another code. I would also rather not "discount" like we will have to since that will count in the reports under discounts, when in fact its not really a discount.

I do create promo sales codes but those are short lived, this is an every weekend sorta thing.

Re: Variable pricing...

I do Half price sundays, most use big beds level 3 and 4, I do not discount the Magic HP or spray. I allow sales people to give up to 50%. Works OK, we used to do $5 sundays and any bed up to L3, that did well but I wanted to change it up. Still we do our just under a normal day, at half off. Customers who live quite a distance come to use our big beds (Blue moons and KBL6800) even though they have memberships at other salons. Some moms come on sunday am just to get away, some its the only day they do not work. The best are the 19.99 efts that come every sunday and spend $8 per. now that customer who normally gives me only 20 is spending at least an extra 20-25 on top of their normal amount.

Best part like you said same plans not reinventing the wheel.

Oh, I know this one!!!

Go to the code you want to use and Operation tab check the one that says Days Time Sensative. Then go to the intelligence tab. Here you will fill in the fees and dates/times.

I have a specific code set up but I think you can use it for your walk in code too.

Thats what I did. I have no problem controlling the price on a per-day or time of day basis.

The problem is one code it used for ALL beds for a walk-in. The system would charge an additional "fee" based on the bed and automatically up the price based on the room number entered.

That is were the problem is though. When you want to have all the beds (well most) the SAME price on a certain day it just can not do that with one code it seems.
