TMAX timer question

Ok I got an ICON with the TMAX on the wall and one up front. Someone fat fingered the buttons on the wall timer and now the stupid on/off button will get stuck if not careful cause it pushes in too far.

First question is does anyone know what I'm talking about and can that be fixed?

If not, then second question is

What's the easy way to swap the 2 timers so the fatfingered one is up front and the one that isn't fatfingered on the wall?

Thank you.

Re: TMAX timer question

Just swap 'em and address the one in the room to 1 and the one up front to 0. This is single station master/slave mode.

Re: TMAX timer question

Yea, but you cant just swap them. You got make sure you disconnect all the wires in the right order or else you will ruin them and they wont work. I would call tmax and have them go thru it with you on disconnecting them or else you will end up with two tmaxes that dont work and you will have to buy two new ones or have them repaired.

Re: TMAX timer question

Ok...but doesn't just cutting the power to them easier?

Re: TMAX timer question

Idk..swapping the face plates is the best idea. We bought 20 tmaxs from an auction a few months age and my maintanence guy (who knows the tmax system pretty well) took them out of the closed salon. We brought them to our place and installed them and they all worked at first and then one by one they all stopped working. We called Tmax and they said it was because they weren't disconnected properly. So we had to buy 20 new tmaxs. Sucked. Now I just call and go step by step with them on the phone.

Re: TMAX timer question

Nonsense. Just swap them and re address them. The power and the contact have no polarity so it doesn't matter and there will be no contact on the front desk one.

You probably had a power surge and blew out the comm chips. This is common. This has nothing to do with how they were disconnected and since they worked when you first hooked thewm up then they were fine. They are sensistve to power surges.

Re: TMAX timer question

Swapping the faceplate won't solve your problem because the buttons are part of the board and not the faceplate.
