My suntouch program is running super slow and I checked the computer and it is not the computer. I have run all the utilities under the computer, and suntouch. The computer runs or operates at normal speed, except, when using suntouch program. It runs super slow. I called suntouch and they had me run Rebuild and maintance and it did not help. Any suggestions?

Re: Suntouch running slow
Do you know if you've made any recent changes to the computer? How long has it been running slow? If it's just a few days you could backup Suntouch and do a system restore to an earlier point.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. No recent changes to the computer. The computer is not hooked up to the internet. The staff could of changed some basic setting, but nothing major. It has been acting this way for about a week. We hooked up T-Max wirless system about a month ago to the computer, but it has been working fine, and at normal speed, until about a week ago. The only program that runs slow is suntouch. When you click on certain ( any ) funtion in suntouch, it takes forever to open. I don't understand, because we have not changed anything, that I know of on the computer. My staff could of accidently changed something, but we have checked the most common items. I think the problem lies with suntouch program, but they were no help over the phone. It's weird it would work fine one day, then run super slow from then on. Any suggestions would be helpful. |

Re: Suntouch running slow
Full hard drive? You need AT LEAST 5 GB open on a PC for swap files, etc. Make sure the drive is not getting full. Usually Windows warns you, but not always.

Re: Suntouch running slow
I doubt it's your drive only because it's limited to Suntouch and you said you didn't do anything major... which would include installing new software. It sounds to me like your problem is some type of interference with your wireless timer. Do you have other wireless devices on site with the same frequencies like phones or a microwave oven? Are you noticing it to be slow when you actually click on something in Suntouch that is going to access the wireless part of the program? Do you have any close neighboring businesses that could be using wireless type of devices or the same frequency as well?

Thanks for all your suggestions, but why would I get a new computer, when its not the computer? I was looking more for people that would know why suntouch, the program, would all of sudden run slow. I guess, know one has ran into this problem. I just don't want to pay suntouch any money for their tech help over the phone. I think it should be free, and their help might not fix the problem. I wa looking to see if anyone, new stuff to do in the suntouch program, to fix the problem. I already did maintance and a rebuild on suntouch, with no change to the speed. Any experts out there with Suntouch expertise?
