I leave it on, I leave the computer on too. It's actually better for the computer, not sure about tmax but I would guess so. Just like a light, it's the on/off that kills it. The power to leave it on too is min.

I always turn off the PC and printer. But leave the FST timer on. I do have the PC on a power back up, but still think it is better protected at night if it is off. Just was not sure about the FST.

I leave everything on and make sure the screen saver is set to come on on the monitor. Power switches are more likely to break by being turned on and off every day than by leaving them on, just make sure you have a screen saver so your monitor doesn't burn out.
