manager pro wont pick up bed?

Hey guys Im new here and need help please!
Ok here it goes..........
I have a T Max manager pro and it wont pick up the address from bed 19 wich is a brand new ETS SS 756V stand up. trouble shooted as follows: Took Manager pro to room 19 and pluged Tmax cable into bed powered it up and no pick up? Checked address on bed and it was set to 19 correctly. Changed T max cable to another new one and nothing! Took bed appart and changed com chip with new one and nothing still? Called Tmax and explained to them what I did and they said to call ETS up cause it could be the timer board. Called ETS up and had them ship me a new one. Got the board in today and swaped it out and same thing nothing? Checked all connections like the 10 pin harness from the Tmax jack on the out side of the bed to the board and was good? Tryed to address the bed to a known # like 25 that is in use and nothing? So that being said I cant think of anything else to check for?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

How many rooms do you have total? Are your beds daisy chained or direct connect in regards to the network? Did you have a timer in that room before?

Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

Set the max bed number on the manager to 19 or higher.

Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

Hey neksnap - I went through many challenges with the TMAX Pro and my SS756 s/up. Although I'm not positive on how to fix your particular situation, I have to say that if you set up the "delay time" more than 8 minutes - it's not going to work. We had to bring it down from 10 to 8 and it's fine. Apparently the delay cannot be longer than the max time of the unit. (I wish someone would have told me this from the beginning...) SO, I may not have helped in your case, but maybe it'll help another.

I have beds in this salon that go to 26.
Funny thing is that when I try to scan for beds it goes to each bed pretty fast than when it gets to 18 it flashes quickly like 4-6 times like it is hesitating to recognize 19 than skips 19 and goes 20,21,22,23 and so on?

If I have this correct, I need to make sure that the manager pros delay time is set to 8min or less? That seems crazy but also the most logical answer that I see so far! The bed is only an 8min max tan time. Bad thing is that I cant get to the store till monday morning to try it out.

Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

Set the delay time on your computer (not TMAX). I use Helios, so I went into settings, then equipment and set the delay time for the room in which my SS756 is located. It fixed the challege immediately. It is strange, but it does make sense.
Try it when you get in and let me know if it helped.
I used to call Helios and TMAX tech support constantly; don't hesitate to call them - they're great.

Hope this is not a stupid question but why would it matter to change the delay time on the computer ? If I took the manager pro into the room by it self and just hook 1 t max cable into the manager pro from the bed and power it up it should pick up the bed? (no computer needed) So if I need to change the delay time on the computer it should have nothing to do with it? I dont know? Im almost going to give up, T max tech does not know and the bed maker (ETS) is clueless? Man I have installed and worked on alot of different kinds of beds and problems and never had this kind of problem? It is driving me crazy that I cant get it?

Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

For me Helios controls the delay time. 8 minutes. But the Pro is set to four, so when I manually start beds they get 4 minutes.

If ETS and T-Max can not help I know I cant! Have you actually tried using the T-Max directly to the bed? I wonder is for some reason the bed is not actually 19 and is broadcasting as an existing number.

The way I set beds times sometimes is to reset the ENTIRE salon. I set the T-Max Pro to whatever mode. Then you go to each room and press da green button. The Pro will automatically assign a bed number to each bed. So its important you start at room one and work your way up.
