Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

Make sure when you address the bed that the period is solid and not flashing. If it is flashing in address mode then the address you are setting is over 100. You could also take the manager to the room and plug only that bed in and press call/menu 888 enter and then hit next, next, next, etc... until you get to auto address room 19 and then hit the start button on the bed to accept the address.

If none of this works then the comm chip in the timer board is bad and it will never communicate until you sawp that chip out.

Thanks for the response.
The address on this bed does not have a period, You go from 1 to 255.
I replaced the com chip in the board and nothing also, I swaped out the entire board with a new one that ETS sent me and nothing. I tried to bring the delay time down to 3 min from 9 min and nothing????
For the last step I have ETS shipping me a new 10 pin harness that plugs in the little board that the three tmax cables plug into in the back of the bed and that harness goes to and plugs into the timer board. Also sending me the Tmax J22 plug in board in the back of the bed.
If this does not work than I as a Tech give the **** up and trust me guys I never give up!

Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

I forgot to mention to you guys that a week after I started this thread I went to another salon and installed 2 of the exact same beds as this one(ETS ss756v) Installed the beds and set up with 3 phase and installed the buck boosters and programmed the adress in each bed hooked up the Tmax cables and rescanned the salon and to make a long story short, That is one **** of a strong bed! Nuff said!

WOW! What a pain in the keister! I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.
And, you're right, it is a truly serious machine. I'm still tanning at only 5 minutes in the thing. 8 minutes and I'd be fried chicken!

Thumbs up Re: manager pro wont pick up bed?

OOOKK. Today I got the new parts in from ETS that includes the 10-pin wire harness and the 3-port tmax connector board for the back of the bed. I installed the new parts. Took tmax manager pro to the room, plugged in the bed, rescanned, and... nothing!

At this point, I was ready to tell the owner of the salon to send this bed from **** back to ETS!!!!! I called up ETS for the 100th time, let them know that I installed the new parts that they sent to me, and still the bed did not work.

They told me that I have exhausted all my resources and they also exhausted all their resources on their end... and that I should compile a list of all the troubleshooting that I have done including swapping out all new parts as well as taking down measurements like voltage, amperage draw, and so on... I asked him what this was for, and he said that the only step they can take is to take the compiled information to the engineers that made the bed to see what they can come up with. I told the guy that this is NUTS!!!

I let him know that I installed 2 of the EXACT same beds in another salon a week ago and they worked perfectly with no problem. I was going to install the by-pass plug in the third largest port so they can use the bed manually for the time being BUT before getting off the phone with ETS, I asked him if the manager pro had an older software version to effect the communication to the bed. He said he never heard of such a thing.

I got off the phone with ETS and went into the computer files and found out that the manager pro was running on the 4.0 version which was about 3-4 years old. I got the password from the owner to get onto the internet, went to the ADI website to download the newest version which is version 8.0 into the computer. From the computer, I downloaded it into the tmax manager pro. I tried rescanning the manager pro and it did not pick up #19 again. THEN I remembered that I had set the bed address to room #5 while I was troubleshooting so I re-addressed it to number 19, rescanned the manager, AND a MIRACLE!!!!!!! Like a prophecy... #19 lit up on the manager!!

To make a LONG story short: MAKE SURE your salon is NOT running an old *** version on the manager. This could save you A LOT of time!!!!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!
