Rep Power: 0 | Re: Archive Function in Helios Archiving Deletes the Transaction History of Each Customer but still keeps the customer. History from whatever Period you dont want to whatever period you do not Need will be removed. This helps reduce the size of your database therefore when you Perform maintenance functions on that database (ie compacting your database) it does not take forever to perform. You always want to back up your data before doing so and remember once you archive there is No going back. In short if you do not want to see ANY customer's History say 5 Years ago you would want to perform an Archive. Good Luck. |
