another helios flaw!~

so i recently decide to expire my visits in 1 year. and just a little while ago i was wondering what would happen to the visits nearing expiration if the client bought more. so i sold a client more and ALL the visits got the new 1 year expiration date...THATS GOOD! I LIKE THAT. AND WHAT I WANT!

What the problem was is when i voided the sale the expiration stayed at the new 1 year expiration.....a smart employee could pick up on that. u would think the programmers could fix that easily!

now it wouldnt be very hard for us owners/managers to see the void and address it but still something to watch out 4

maybe u guys already know but there it is anyways!

Re: another helios flaw!~

Not a flaw, just a less than full understanding of the settings available.

Go to SETTINGS -> SYSTEM -> Click on PKG/MEMBERSHIP Folder

You can choose whether to delete expired items in the accumulators as you wish.

You can also set whether you want employees to void daily sales.

A FULL DETAIL report would show all voids for the day

thanks 4 the tutorial, but im not sure if this is the problem. i dont have my expired visits delete as u shown because i allow reactivation if a new package is bought.

Besides the problem i found is NOT with expired visits its with visits in good standing.

say a client has 3 left that dosent want to renew and is friendly with the employee the employee goes and sells a new package which gives a NEW 1 year ex date, then deletes the sale.

When this is done the visits are gone but the OLD vists now have a new 1 year expiration.

as far as not allowing a employee to void ive thought of that but sometimes there is a honest mistake or a customer changes their mind and wants a different package....

if you have a solution for that, id love to try it

Thanks

I do not let the employees void any sales...I have it password protected and I will fix it when I come in.

Re: another helios flaw!~

The date problem is: Click the toolbar clock. Make sure the date is correct on it. I had a employee change it last week and it did the same to me.

Solaria - Get tech support! You are running a business for crying out loud!!!!

Carib man

I understand what you are saying! The packages in Helios are static so for them to had the functionality you want would be VERY hard. v11 is a dead product! All future development will be in v12 and v12 has dynamic packages so it will behave as you like!

Its not ready for prime time yet but when it is it will be a substantial improvement over v11
