Best Software?
I can't get the TanTrack working on the computer. I was wondering what other programs I should be looking at besides TanTrack.
Some features I'm looking for: Setting up new clients via Drivers Liscense Pulling up clients via Drivers Liscense Intergrated Credit Card processing using who I want Controls T-Max timer Finger Print Reader compatible I would also rather have a program that you don't have to pay monthly for. But I will consider them types of programs if the features are there and they aren't over $70 a month. |

Re: Best Software?
Helios can do most of that. But sure about Driver License though. But with the expertise I have had, the majority never have the right address on it anyway.
As for credit card processing with who you want. I guess there is a way via Helios, but to be honest I really like dealing with Chase. I thought is was gonna be a pain, but the rates are really good and I have had no problems. Cost is $50 a month and Helios is probably the most used. With all that said, I am not a huge fan. Mainly support issues.... I am STILL waiting for a call back for one of the "Helios trainers" on a MAJOR accounting issues Helios has. But hey, for the most part it work really well and its all I have used. I think Tan Track is next in line though from what I have seen around here.

Re: Best Software?
Tan Track does work with drivers licenses and they offer a competitive credit card processor with works directly through the Tan Track program. I do not use either because they want to sell you the card reader and processing module for another $450.00. As far as using the drivers license option, I don't use it because Wisconsin doesn't use a license strip that a person can scan. 99% of my business is from Wisconsin.

Re: Best Software?
I already have all the equipment. I have a Cherry Keyboard with built in credit card reader. Also have an Ithaca 150 receipt printer and cash drawer. Only thing I might look into getting is a finger print reader so they don't have to pull out their drivers liscense. The drivers license will help though because in TanTrack it fills out most of the customers information for you when you have a new client sign up.
Right now we keep paper records and the business is getting big. I'd say we have a good 200 regular customers. We are just breaking into busy season and right now we are seeing between 30-60 people a day. So software is going to help quite a bit. Also its getting big where we have to hire more employees and we want software for the security of not being able to just turn the beds on by hand and tanning friends for free which we have had a problem with in the past. |
