I installed the updates... but, I thought I heard there wouldn't be any more updates because they're trying to get everyone to move to Centrix?

Of course, I'm glad to hear that they will continue to upgrade because there is no possibility of high speed internet at my shopping center, so I'd be screwed! No Centrix for me.

If they do go to a central data system, I can GUARANTEE I will not upgrade and/or look for other software.

What a crock! I just bought a salon that is still running V10. The previous owner stopped his tech support a couple of months ago and I planned on restarting it and getting updated and do a little training but I may think a bit more now. The salon is running great now and I am having a baby at the end of summer who could benefit from $50 a month in a trust fund!

I've been using Helios for over 10 years and am happy with it. BUT I can honestly tell you that Centrix sucks big time. It's buggy, slow and will clutter your sales counter with multiple cables, wire, router, modem, t-max adapter and countless low voltage plugs everywhere.

On the Helios website it states "Customers will receive a pop-up in Helios notifying them of the update by March 28th. I have 2 salons and have not seen this pop up. Has anyone? This may just be the download to install the expiration date for future.

The popup will happen started in March 21st

Click OK ... system continues as normal

BUT ... starting on March 28th when you Click OK ... Helios will abort

SO you need to apply the V11.6.1 updated BEFORE March 28th

Starting this Friday

for those of you on Version 11.5.1 or earlier

reboot your computer and re-start Helios

WATCH AND READ THE POP-UP CLOSELY !!!!

If you get this warning, you need to contact support and get the update

THIS WEEK!

you can verify this by changing the computer system clock

Close Helios and re-open

you will see pop-up

DO NOT PERFORM ANY TRANSACTIONS

Close Helios and re-set to today's date

back to normal.


March 28th your system WILL NOT WORK !!!

Be warned

You also have to close all work stations if you have multple work stations.
