Helios, multiple month purchases
I'm having issues with Helios when I sell multiple month packages. An example would be a customer purchasing 3 - 1 month second level packages at once. It will put a seemingly random date for the end date. Some people have tanned for months without paying because it was not caught when sold. - It does not do this everytime, just sometimes.
I've deleted the old codes and redid them (I completely did it with the help of the helios tech person on the phone) and it still happens. I was told to just have my employees to verifiy the end dates when they sell the packages to ensure they are correct (like that will happen) and for me to pull management reports once in a while to check on the end dates myself. Is there a solution to this? This is not what I'm paying for. |

maybe i didn't get enough sleep, why would a customer buy 3 - 1 month packages instead of a 1 -3 month package?

I am sure I can very much help with this. I know Helios all to well....
But first, are you sure its the end dates for sure? By that I mean if a client comes in to my salon and buys a month, or two or three, the end date is right. However, if they bought a month with the same sales code last year, the start date is from last year. This makes it look like they bought a whole year or more. For example, I have a customer that has an active month. Its ends as it should on 1-10-08, but the "start" date shows 7-6-2005! Here is how my sales code it setup: FINANCIAL TAB: Type: Service Tax: none (in WI we do not tax tanning, yay!) Price: $49, constant OPERATION TAB: Operation Options: Track Cashier, Mandatory Receipt Tan Time: 0 (this is to sell the package, not tan on it) Service Time: 0 Inventory Items: (leave blank, this is service, not physical inventory) (the rest is up to you) PKG/MEM TAB: Package: All of the "C" column is dotted, rest is all zeros. Membership: THE WAVE (this is what shows up in the account screen when you sell it) Membership Variable: Constant, 30 days, nothing in "Valid Until" Flex Start: NO INTELLIGENCE TAB: Allows Use: Yes for all beds (but again, this is to sell not tan so it should not matter) Check yours against mine and see what you find. I am guessing there is something up with the days valid and flex start. We do anniversary memberships, the day they buy they get 30 days to use, not until the 1st of the coming month... |

I'll check yours against mine. I think it is like mine but I'll triple check. I also have done my share of codes and this particular one I even did with the tech but it's worth a try.
