Helios Centrix

Hey Andy,

Have you heard anything about where Centrix is? Have they worked out all of the bugs?

Thanks,

Joseph

Re: Helios Centrix

I expect it will still take a while for all the functionality of V11 to be included in Centrix and I would expect issues for a while yet.

I understand they are planning on having an optional approach to Centrix available in the spring that will allow for data to be storage locally as well as on the central server. The intent here I believe is to address the connectivity issue. Thus internet down ... you would be able to continue to process. Note, I did not say instead of on the central server ... I said as well as ... as a backup for offline processing that would have to sync up to the server when connectivity is restored.

Adhoc reporting and data extract (in a useable form) would be additional issues. I understand they are also going to address this ... timing and scope undefined.

Re: Helios Centrix

I'm a big Helios supporter, but JIMJEN is correct.

Centrix is slow and very buggy.

I did compare them. Software has bugs most companies can't avoid it because the process can change so much a long the way. I do not use centrix.... maybe it should still be in the beta phase. I would consider beta testing it for them.

Does anyone know if they have an active professional beta team?
