CPU fan error

Anyone ever have this issue?

Backstory: Mall was doing some electrical upgrades to the whole system and suggested we shut off any critical computers etc... We did, and today when my massage therapist went in for a client and tried to turn on the computer it said there was a CPU fan error and it just shut back off.

Re: CPU fan error

Just like tanning beds your computer needs a fan to keep it from running to hot. I would physically check the fan first to make sure it isn't jammed somehow. They are not costly to replace and very easy to do.

Re: CPU fan error

If the fan that cools the processor is caked with dust and does not draw enuff cool air through the heat sink, you will get that message. And/or if the fan is burt out or came unpluged, you will get that message.

Make sure to pop the cover on your cpu and clean the fans every 3 months to keep your cpu from over heating and dying on you.

Re: CPU fan error

I only got one with 2 monitors.

I use them for playing MAME arcade. That's all a computer is good for.
