No CC With Helios

Ok, so for the 2nd time in a month, CC the Helios/Chase processing is down. Anyone get and when they think it'd be back up?

I have a knuckle buster for manual CC images and know how to call in for verbal processing, but how do you close out the sale in Helios? Then do you manually "fix" reports to make sure everything is accounted for properly?

I'm so frustrated with Helios I can't even think.

we are done with helios as our cc processor after tonight. This is completely unacceptable.

You can close out your sale by going to system settings and unchecking "use credit module verification"

Otherwise you have to close out all your sales to cash or check and to ring them back up you need to void all your sales and rering them.

5 other stores with other merchants for our swipe transactions and have never been down once. I switch one store over to helios becuase they tell me its well worth the $50 extra in fees they charge with who I typically use....and what to i get, 2 or 3 outages that last for several days. Thankfully I didnt listen to them when they recommended switching over all 5.

I would only use it to draft memberships and have a seperate terminal to do your daily charges on.

good for your drafts. Bad for your swipes. Have 2 seperate merchants. The way we have done it for 4 years. Dont know why i let them talk me into it on this last location. Swipes with them has been a problem. Not to mention its costing about $50. more a month that the other merchant i use for my swipes.

They have to come up with a backup for their system before i will consider again

I dont do eft, so i only use their swipe. I dont know about contracts. I've been with Helios?chase 4 years. Enough downtime for me. In the last year their credit card services were down at least 3-4 times.

i signed all up for their service but i havent done the terminal download yet. so untill i do that im still on the other merchant. I dont do EFT(yet)and i have a terminal (phone line) to do the swipes. Would i still be affected by the outages?

atleast 80% of my sales are credit/debit.....i cant have down time!

What should i do.....wonder if i can back out of the contract still. i havent used them yet!!
