Unhappy TMax Manager Error

Ok, so I get in yesterday and I see 1,2,3,4 all the way through 8 indicated on the manager. It's also reading beds 54-67 and won't scroll to bed 1-8 when I press the orange button.

My salon is set up with 7 3As, 1-6 and room 8, so 7 beds total ( I just skipped rm 7 for future expansion.

I've removed power (AC adapter) from the manager and waited, nothing changed. I also reset the circut to the 3As in the rooms, still nothing. When I bring up the ADNET2k program and do a rescan it just scrolls through saying "timeout 1000".

I'm running Helios and of course, it's not saying timers not responding.

Anyone have this problem? Keep in mind that I haven't opened yet, trying to learn how to work out some of the kinds before I do.

Re: TMax Manager Error

i would close helios, turn off the breaker to every timer then power off the tmax. Turn all the timers back on then turn the tmax on. open helios last

Re: TMax Manager Error

Sounds like your Manager is not booting up. See the response to your thread in the other forum. Although, hopefully by now you've already contacted your supplier and/or ADI and have this resolved.

Don't worry about communication with your computer until you get a bunch of zero's, or at least a bunch of dashes on the Manager.

Also, if Adnet doesn't even see the Manager, then the problem's not going to be with the 3A's.

Also, once your manager is booted up, you don't want to mess with that auto-addressing crap. Just manually address each 3A. One reason you want to do it that way is because you are skipping a room. You can't do that when auto-addressing.

Re: TMax Manager Error

I'm being sent to a Radio Shack for a new AC Adapter. Kevin at ADI says he thinks it's not getting power.

Re: TMax Manager Error

So after sending me to Radio Shack to get a new plug I ended up having to send it back.

Thanks for the help anyway.

Re: TMax Manager Error

Nice thought about the comm chip, but her problem is that the Mgr won't boot up. Kevin did the right thing by having you try a new power plug, based on the description you gave him. Best to try the easy solution first before making you send it in.

A comm chip would only be the problem is you had all dashes and no zeroes. You've either got a processor problem or a power supply problem. You can count on ADI to take care of it.
