Prepaid Dollars in Helios

How do you set up your prepaid dollars in helios? The way mine is set up it adds double for a sale using prepaid dollars. If they give $5 for prepaids that shows $5 sales for the day. Day 2 they come in and tan and use that $5 it show $5 in sales. So it looks as though I did $10 in sales for 2 days

Mikey ... there is really no way to avoid the transactions being recorded twice.

however ... one will be referred to as Revenue - when funds are received and the other Non-Revenue when the Prepaid dollars are used. Some reports allow you to select whether to include Non-Revenue on reports

To see them separately on the Department and Division report ... In your sales code setup put Prepaids into a separate dept and div so they can easily be reduced from the total

same thing ,,, Non revenue when they charge ... Revenue when they pay

Put Payments on Accounts in separate dept / div to be able to separate it from the total easily.

trust me this is a pain and you would think helios would come up with something so it won't be recorded twice.

It is simple ... reviewed this many times ... but the lights just never seems to go on for them.

Part of the issue is that Revenue can be recorded using the Accrual method or Cash method and these types of transactions are handled differently in the two methods.

regardless ... it would be handled ... not sure if any lights went on re Centrix or not ... last time I saw Centrix was in Sept 05 and they were not approaching it differently then.
