Rep Power: 25 | Re: Gift Certificates With GC or Gift as the sales code to sell a Gift Certificate. Set up a second sales code GCD - GC Donated ... coded as a Miscellaneous Sales Code Type, a separate department if you wish and have one available. Misc Sales Code type ... not GC, so this transaction will not be tracked as a Gift Certificate. Default Price would be variable, allowing input of the amount AND Minimum Price set to the logical highest value that you would donate NEGATIVE. So at point of sale you would then sell a GC for the amount of the Gift Certificate (this one will be tracked and able to be redeemed) and then a second transaction GCD ... for the same amount NEGATIVE (or whatever portion) was donated. Bringing the total due to 0.00 or the smaller amount due. A trick when entereing a negative amount in Helios .... numbers first and then the - ... much easier and you will not have to fight to get the amount in negative. Hope this helps ... |
