There are times when employees need to be able to open the drawer without a sale. When they are dropping those hundreds of dollars into your drop safe ... end of day ... etc.

Helios tracks every NO SALE OPEN (they press F3 to open without a sale) ... this feature has actually help in isolating the thief in many cases. Sometimes better to let an employee do certain things ... giving a certain type of employee enough rope to hang themselves can be most effective.

And why did they put F9 (clear) right beside F10 (save) Lost info and had to redo it more than once, also grrrrrrrrrrr

Of course they do this after I was told that no other cash drawer and receipt printer would be compatible! I swear, when I signed up with Helios, I may as well of just bent over and taken like a man!!!!! grrrr!

Contacted Helios, they now have a newer version out; both for $299 or the older version for $249. Thanks for all the help, I think I am going to try it.

Has anyone had any problems with either machine??

Reports - Management - No Sale (V11.4 - 2nd item in 2nd column)

It will list very time F3 was pressed

Can be very informative when compared to Voided Sales with significant time differences between sale and void

... helps one salon owner with this ... asked the employee why they voided a cash sale and open the drawer 4 hours after the sale (also 15 minutes before the shift ended) ... she smile, stated to the owner "you got me" ...she had been doing it for years !!!!! on 1 or 2 sales a day

now sure it could have should have been detected ... but those two reports allow me to help the owner in minutes
