FST Timer..

Can I run a suncapsule stand-up from my FST timer? And will the T-max in the unit work with it?

I am pretty sure you can't run your T-max with your FST system, I am having a simalar problem with 2 beds I just bought and I will be upgrading to the Tmax.

I recommed the upgrade anyways, too many comunication issues with the FST.

I have the FST 600 and I can tell you for a fact that you cannot run the suncapsule from it. ETS beds require a T=max only. I had to run a separate T-max for my Sunvision.

Thanks, of course the people at suncapsule told me I could. I only have six beds would it be costly to switch over to T-Max? Would I need to run new wire to the rooms or could I use the one that is for the FST?

Yes you can. All beds can be operated from any timer system.

If your FST room switch has a physical relay on it, just connect the contact to the black and green wire from the Suncap timer port.

If your FST room switch has a triac (solid state relay) you will need to purchase a small 24 VAC transformer and a small 24VAC coil relay. (must be "AC" current as triacs only work with AC current.)

You wire the new relay contacts to the black and green wire from the Suncap timer port then run the tranformer and new relay coil through the FST triac and the FST will close the new relay and the relay will turn on the suncap.

The timer that is supplied with the Suncap is not used.

ramcat, you have your Sunvision on a T-Max and your others ones on the FST? T-Max timer in the room and controler at the PC?

Run new cables. You can recycle the contact wire.

The electriction will be here on Wednesday to see what needs to be changed to support a stand-up. Will deal with the timer after I know I have the power to fire up a Sun-Capsule.
