Re: FST Timer..

Here is an example on how to connect your Suncapsule to an FST with triac. This can be used on any bed. Just connect to the timer port contact wires.

Re: FST Timer..

connecting to a fst timer is extremely easy.
you can connect the booth without using the suncapsule start button so it comes on with the fst wall button only. mine are set up like this i use only 2 of the suncapsule wires to my fst wall button. if you really need to know the wires i can later look and tell you which 2 you need.

OR you can connect it so it starts using the suncapsule start button inside the booth. this was posted on FST website, you will still need to use a fst wall button but you can mount it on top of the booth because you do not need to touch it, the suncapsule button will start the session.
EITHER WAY YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING LIKE A RELAY OR ANYTHING

i feel that fst is a very easy system to use and the owner Hap is a great guy he is always there if you have any questions.

Re: FST Timer..

The older FST uses triacs and you WILL need an interface relay. Older Questar used triacs too.

The newer versions use a dry contact relay so no outboard relay is nesessary.

If you have the older FST with triac and not dry contact relay, you WILL need my diagram.

Suncapsule timer contact is DC. DC does not work with triacs. That is why the interface is nesessary.

Re: FST Timer..

The website listed pins 1 and 2 for contact on the Suncapsule. That is wrong. It is 3 and 5.

You can remove the cover and look on the back side of the connector where the Black and green wire is.

If you cut off the cord form the stock timer, it will have the correct colors to follow.

Re: FST Timer..

Just buy a newer version dry contact type wall switch from Hap. Might be easier, and should work fine. Is this correct Doctor?
