Keep your install disk and a copy of any updates you have downloaded. Lets say that your PC dies and you need to replace it with a new one. Load up Helios on the new machine with all the proper updates and copy your backup data files to the new computer. Some setting you will have to reestablish in system settings. We went through this about six monts ago.

Re: ?? Helios Price Increase ??

The copying of the backup files is where I'm missing it. In vs 9 I used the utilities button and then restored files from backup disk.
In vs 11 I don't see that function. What do I need to if I wanted to restore my today's helios data to yesterdays information?
thanks
tommy

Re: ?? Helios Price Increase ??

v 11 is really easy to restore backed up data. You will just cut and paste all of your backed up database files (mdb files) to C:\Program Files\Helios11\Data. Whamo, you're restored. I never used v. 9, but 11 is way easy to work with when it comes to the database files. I had to manually convert my mstan client database to Helios 11, so I got EXTREMELY familiar with how Helios was programmed.
