Restore database

What are the steps to restoring my database. I use version 11. i REPLACED MY pc REINSTALLED helios 11 and now need to restore the backup database

Depends on a number of things, but first if you have support with Helios ... you should call them and they will talk you through it.

Some general guidelines ...

If you used a utility to back up your data, you will need to restore using the same utility ... the restore path if you installed Helios to the default location is C:\Program Files\Helios11\Data

If you copied your data, then just copy it back to the path above.

If you used a CD-ROM drive the databases may be restored with READ ONLY attributes ... if so ... after you copy back, you need to Right Click on each of the Helios databases in the data directory and go to properties and remove the READ ONLY tick.

If you customized your Contracts or Release forms they are sitting in the Helios11 directory not the Data directory.

Helios's data files are located in C:\Program Files\Helios11\data. I don't know know how you backed them up, but I would make a copy of the current C:\Program Files\Helios11\data folder, then replace the files in C:\Program Files\Helios11\data with the ones in the same folder from the backup.
