Rep Power: 0 | TanTrack Hey anyone out there know what I can do .... I seemed to have broken my Dongle for Tantrack... It is still working.... just that the thing that u stick in the USB hole is stuck in there... I can take it out, but the metal contraption is stuck in the computer... Tan Track still works.... is there anything else out there that can be used that doesnt stick out so much? |

Rep Power: 30 | Re: TanTrack You can get a cable that plugs into the USB port and then plug the dongle into that or just plug the dongle into a different port. Most computers have USB ports on the front and back of the computer. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: TanTrack Thing is I have had it in the front and I have been knocking it left and right.... now, its broken... still works, but if I pull it out the front metal part is stuck in the computer. I never thought of the cable thing! Uh!!! |

Rep Power: 24 | Re: TanTrack I had the same issue with mine. Put the "handle" back in the slot. You can slightly tilt and apply pressure to the dongle and it will bring out the metal clip. Then you can push in the sides and it should hold together again. I then moved mine to a external USB multi port and it no longer gets "kicked".

Rep Power: 0 | Re: TanTrack Get it out and get a belkin with a cord and toss it behind the PC or a safe spot so no one will steal it or damage it. Our PC's are built into the counter and we have a our external hard drive in a lock box and I we also do off site back up's. Your database is something you don't want to loose incase of fire or theft. A bit off topic but everyone should be doing something like this. |
