Putting back data in helios

Hi My computer crashed so I had a company fix the machine.
He did save the data.
We reinstalled Helios 11. But when we put the data back in the computer
Helios says it read only.

Can anybody Help?
Thanks, Mike in Michigan

Re: Putting back data in helios

Hmmmmm? It crashed and then they saved the data? I would think if you backup Helios daily, it would have been a simple matter of restoring with Helios Ulitilites.

Andy will be along to help, maybe.

Re: Putting back data in helios

If it was backed up to a cd, I have seen things get saved read only. You may just need to go under the properties of the file and change the attribute from read only.

Re: Putting back data in helios

what billable said ... that will be it

You will have to remove the Read Only tick on EACH of the databases in the Data directory

Right Click on each database ... go to Properties and you will see a TICK on Read Only in the Attributes section ... remove it
