Hi
I have just purchased a commercial type sunbed with 42 x 100 watt tubes in a top and bottom canopy. I dont know who made the sunbed.I have done quite a lot of domestic house wiring myself but the two cables from the sunbeds consist of 2 black wires and an earth wire. The black wires are numbered 1 and 2. Can anyone tell me which is the live and which is neutral and the best way to connect them to the house supply Regards Gerry |

Re: Sunbed wiring
If I where to guess I'm going to bet you have a 220 bed (2 hots and a ground)sim. to wireing a hot water heater (check your amps thou)

Re: Sunbed wiring
PM me and I have some questions for you. With this amount of lamps, I must be a 220Volt unit. Two blacks sounds like it's the hot legs and then you would have a ground. You will want to make sure first. Also, there are voltage issues with tanning beds, depends on the brand and model. Try to find a mfg on a sticker or plate behind the bed or it should say something on the front of the bed. Send me a message and I will give you my number. Thanks, Jeff
