Re: helios ?

YES ... but thru Helios Backoffice SQL Wizard (custom report writer) not from within Helios reporting.

You can call Tech Support regarding that OR I would be pleased to be of service if you deem that to be appropriate.

Call if you wish my assistance.

Re: helios ?

I have had great service with the techs at helios. I cannot find anyone that can give me answer in the difference between total customers and unique customers - who knows that?

Re: helios ?

If a client comes in and buys a package and a lotion and you take their money and end the sale they would then become 1 total customer as well as 1 unique customer. If after that sale you pulled him up again for another transaction you would then have 2 total customers but still one unique customer. In other words 1 unique customer can be 100 total customers if you were to pull them up and do 100 transactions that you actually ended the sale. Does that make sense? I explained that correctly didn't I Andy?

Re: helios ?

Close ... but on one day the client would always only count as 1 Unique and 1 Total Customer for the salon. Could count as 1 each for different employees stats but in total also 1.

Here is now I describe it ... if Sue comes to the salon on 10 different days in March ... she is 10 Total Customers and 1 Unique customer ... visits versus people.

Total Customers is like Tanning Sessions ... but is a more true base for average comparison. A client can come in and buy something and not tan ... if you based your averages on Tanning Sessions you would have sales against ZERO ... using Total Clients you always have a base number against which to compare your sales averages.

Re: helios ?

I would suggest you check with Helios support to ensure you have the lastest report update.

If you had 100 different clients by noon then your Unique Customer count would be 100

On a given day the Unique and total customer counts would normally be the same ... since a client is only counted once on a given day

Where it differs is over a timeframe ... as I said above .... if Sue comes to the salon on 10 different days in March ... she is 10 Total Customers and 1 Unique customer

On a given day Sue is 1 Unique Client and 1 Total Customers ... but over that period of time she is still and always 1 Unique Client but with visits on 10 different days she is 10 total customers ... a visit is either purchase something and/or tan.
