I never "make" anybody do anything. They do it because they really want to. I just encourage them to cast off their cloaks of fear and embrace the light. So, what does it stand for?

wouldn't current be harder to find if we are talking an arcing short. Resistance would be greater because of the gap. We are not talking a direct contact of wire to metal because the bed only shocks on occasion. I'm actually thinking the short is after the ballast because the bed only shocks when the bed is on not all the time.

could be a short, could possibly be induced voltage, could be tanning bed gremlins (the're really hard to find, shy)
