Re: How do I set lamps to start automatically in Helios 11.4 with T-max

WE DELAY THE START TIME 4 MIN. (which is just enough time, with out having
to rush...........if your clients are useing all 7 min of the delay time, and are
tanning for 20 min, your bed is tied up for almost 1/2 hour............................

Re: How do I set lamps to start automatically in Helios 11.4 with T-max

When using infinite delay (which is what we do) the customer just pushed the start button on the 3A when they are ready and the bed turns on. We have no problem with people taking excessive amounts of time.

Re: How do I set lamps to start automatically in Helios 11.4 with T-max

I think TMax Manager might be set to infinite delay. When I 1st hooked helios to the tmax the timer would start counting down as soon as I sent time through helios. I then called Tmax and they had me change some settings that stopped that from happening. At the time I told them there were no auto start times. Is there a setting in tmax that I can use that only lets helios decide whether or not I have a delay time or not?

You might try turning off the T-Max and turning it back on. Sometimes just turning it off and on helps to clear out the confusion.

Re: How do I set lamps to start automatically in Helios 11.4 with T-max

You will be focusing on #7 in this list.

3.2.1 Setting up the T-Max® Mgr/Pro.

1)
Apply power to the T-Max® Mgr/Pro. The T-Max® Mgr/Pro will scan the network to find all T-Max® 3As.

2)
Press the Call / Menu button. The following message will appear: SECURITY#.

A sheet was provided showing the factory default settings for each security level and security level descriptions. You must go to security level 3, and enter that security #.

3)
The following message will appear: GET PARAMS? Press NEXT

4)
The following message will appear: SEND PARAMS? Press NEXT

5)
The following message will appear: MGR PARAMS? Press ENTER

6)
The following message will appear: MGR DELAY TIME.

Enter the delay time in minutes, followed by the ENTER button.

If you want the session to start right away, enter a delay of 0. The maximum setting for delay is 10 minutes. This setting is for every bed in the salon.

7)
The following message will appear: MGR START MODE.

Enter the desired Auto Start Mode followed by the ENTER button.

This setting is for every bed in the salon.

If a
0 is entered, the bed will not come on automatically when the delay time expires, but session time will begin counting down (the 0 will not appear on the display). The Start button must be pressed in the room, for the bed to come on.

If a
1 is entered, the bed will come on immediately after the delay time expires.

If a
2 is entered, then the T-Max® Mgr/Pro is set to infinite delay and session will not start until the Start/Stop button is pressed on the T-Max® 3A.

8) The following message will appear: MGR MAX BED. Enter the maximum bed number followed by the ENTER key.

This number must be equal to or higher than the highest address that a T-Max® 3A is set. For example if you have six beds, but are addressing the T-Max® 3As to 1,2,3,4,5, and 8, set the maximum bed number to 8.

9) The following message will appear: MANAGER NUM. If you are using one Manager, press ENTER. If you are using multiple Managers, enter the T-Max® Mgr/Pro address, followed by the ENTER button.

Up to 8 T-Max® Mgr/Pro’s can be connected in a single salon. One T-Max® Mgr/Pro must be set to address 0. All slave T-Max® Mgr/Pro’s must be set to an address other than 0. Set each Slave T-Max® Mgr/Pro to a unique address.

10)
The following message will appear: MGR RE-SCAN TIME. Press the ENTER key (without entering a number).

11)
The following message will appear: MAX SLAVE. If you are only using one Manager, press ENTER (without entering a number). If you are using multiple Managers press 7, then ENTER.

The VFD display will then read
SAVING PARAMS.

Re: How do I set lamps to start automatically in Helios 11.4 with T-max

If the T-Max® Mgr/Pro is controlled by a computer, the Delay and Auto Start mode are controlled by the computer’s software - unless you set the Infinite Delay. If the T-Max® Mgr/Pro is set to Infinite Delay, the Delay time set in the T-Max® Mgr/Pro or the PC will be ignored.
