Tan track bar code scanner

Does anyone know if the tan track program is compatible with any barcode scanner or does it have to be the one they sell you? They can't even answer me as they have never tested it with any other scanner besides the one they sell. (Which is 425.00 bucks)

Bar code scanners are a simple extension of the Keyboard ... any should work.
