I am very surprized that you feel the reports on Helios are inadequate. I have talked to a few large chains on Sunlync that were on Helios (FYI - they are all coming back too) and they all complained about how dismal the reports in Sunlync are??? Why dont you call me and go round and round with me? I would be happy to discuss your issues. For the record Helios 11.4 has over 60 reports and a very nice report writer within Helios backoffice that allows you to custom create your own reports. We will even create the report to run in the back office for you for a modest fee if you like. So feel free to call me at 317-529-3417 Dana if you would like any clarification

Unfortunately I have run into alot of scripting problems in the backoffice reports. Buttons don't work, javascript errors, db file lock problems when helios is running, etc...

I've even completely uninstalled and re-installed twice hoping it was my problem, but no luck. Will keep trying... anyone else have issues with backoffice?

I have issues with back office too. Exporting certain reports get a error. I think back office is a start but could use some improving in many areas.

I use Backoffice A LOT for various clients ... overall it works well, once you understand certain pre-requisites.

1. Do not try to export a multi formatted report ... like Daily Sales ... to Excel, but it will export to Word just fine.

2. Prior to export always display as one page first ... if you do not .... odds are you will not get it all.

On average I run about 20+ Backoffice Reports daily for different clients ... it really does work well and is a great analysis and audit tools.

I do very little data maintenance thru backoffice, tend to VNC or PCA onto live system ... not saying it does not work but I have found issues as well, not worth the hassle in my opinion. Amazing reporting and audit tool.

I agree it is fairly basic and could be improved in areas ... but is a lot better than not being there
