Help with a Helios Report Error?
Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I actually stumbled upon it by accident, but it looks interesting. I see that a lot of people have good points to share. My story is that today I ran into quite a scare. My main computer that runs Helios crashed, and the whole computer reformatted I guess you could say. I was on the phone with Helios for about 2 hours, and they were able to salvage all of my databases, thank god. We worked out all the bugs, I think, except for this error I keep getting when trying to access reports.(I did not find this out until after I was off the phone). Anyways, the error comes up saying: "Error creating Report Object" Error #91 Description: Object Variable or with Block Variable not set. Is anyone familiar with that error? And if anyone's come across that in their time, do you remember how to correct it? Thanks greatly in advance. |

Re: Help with a Helios Report Error?
Sounds like the Reports file is corrupt.
There is a DBCompare folder in helios that you can use that might fix it. You just double click it and follow the promts. I would suggest to make a nightly backup of your DATA file. You can get a software that can do this. Or even better back it up on a Zip or Jazz drive. I use a thumb port this is USB. I copy the DATA file onto it. You have to make sure HELIOS is closed when you copy it. This DATA file is very important and holds all of your Client, Codes, And Transactions. If this gets corupted you are screwed. It is located in your C: PROGRAMS/HELIOS** Folder. And it is Called DATA. Just copy and paste into whatever media you use to hold it in. |

Re: Help with a Helios Report Error?
Hey guys,
Thanks much for the responses. You were right. I did get a hold of Techincal Support, and they said I needed to uninstall and then reinstall Helios. That corrected the Error #91 problem. Only thing now is that I am gettin a message that Helios cannot load template, everytime I try and enter a code in a clients file(such as put them into a bed) but it allows me to proceed and doesnt appear to cause a problem. Contacted Helios again, and they didnt seem to know what it was from. The rep kep saying it was because Helios didnt test the software on any other operating system except for Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 professional. I have Windows XP Media Center edition. And yes, I am now in the routine of backing up my data folder to a Jum drive everynight. Wont get caught unprepared if the computer goes wacky next time. Once again, thanks for your help. I look forward to bein a part of the community. |
