Rep Power: 0 | timer compatible? We have recently purchased a montego bay wolff 24 (1997 model i believe) is it compatible with the tmax 3-a? If not what about the intellitan remote timer? The timer that is on the bed is a remote timer. No jacks to run to the computer and it is a simple dial timer. where would i find out all info on this bed and timers? I can't seem to find much of use on the web. Thanx in advance, Robert |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: timer compatible? The T-max should be capable of connecting to this bed. I assume this bed has a mechanical timer and all cooling fans shutdown when the bed stops. New beds have computer boards, which keep the cooling fans running after the bed stops. This can make connecting a t-max wall timer more difficult. Some beds of this vintage do include additional electric circuits to keep the cooling fans on the beds running, independent of the mechanical timer. As the previous commenter noted all that is needed is two wires from the wall timer to connect to the bed. The t-max wall timer can be remote connected to either Intelitan or T-max Pro timer panels. The wiring is simple daisy chain from T-max panel, into and out of first bed, second, third, etc. and then back to T-max panel. The t-max wall timer has to be programmed if connected to the Remote T-max panel. There are instructions with the wall timers, each has to have a bed adress. Note that T-max and Intelitan are made by the same company, Applied Digital. Intelitan is the trademark of Sun Ergoline. T-max is the generic name and about 40% less cost. Sun Ergoline beds can talk to a t-max system. It just requires going into the parameters and telling the bed to talk to T-max. We have a mixture of beds in our salon both Sundash and ETS. Programming each bed is such a treat. My wife taught computers, and my son an engineering student, and my expertise helped figure out all these problems. Please send us a message if you would like further help, pat paradise |

The green runs to ground but the other 3 i dunno. what is the contactor? 2 components inside the bed i am unsure of what they are. one is in the middle of the canopy the other is at the end of the canopy. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: timer compatible? The contactor normally has a magnetic coil which energizes whne your timer closes the circuit. This is normally followed by an audible click due to the center piece of the contactor being pulled down. This in turn creates a path for your main power to travel into the bed. Your timer is nothing more than a low voltage on off electronic on/off switch. Normally if I follow my logic here in hook ups we use the red and black wires for sigle phase hook ups. This would normally mean that they are both hot, and to engage the contactor you would only have to put a jumper on the timer, and break either one of the black or red wires with the switching legs of the T_max 3A this 3A is the low voltage on/off switch now and you're in business. |
