XP Media Center with Helios? - tanTALK

I see where the majority og new systems now come with XP Media Center as the OS how does it compare to XP Pro and will helios 11.4 run on it?

Standing to be corrected I do not believe that Media Center is an operating system.

Helios does require XP Pro or 2000 as the operating system.

Although you can install Helios on a system with XP Home (perhaps Media Center is another version) Helios does not support XP Home.

I can answer this one.

Media Cender edition is XP Pro with TV/Video software intigrated.

Also, What system are you looking at with Media Center on them? Only MEDIA CENTERS come with that installed.

You want to look at Workstations...those will come with Pro most likaly.
