Rep Power: 0 | Computer Management/Timing Cable Could someone please give me the exact specifications on the type of cable I need to run from my beds to my timing box and computer. i have been told that it looks like telephone cable. I am setting up a new salon and would like to have everything prewired. My supplier is not sure of the exact specifications as the equipment he is getting for me comes from overseas and it comes complete with all wiring. Its nice of them to supply the wiring but as I would like to have everything pre-wired, it does not help me. I will be using a TT5 Tantimer with Beckmann Management software. Also, should the cable run from each room in a dasiy chain type set up or should each bed have its own cable running back to the timer? Any help much appreciated. Brent Mathein |

I know on my set-up (T-max Manager) they run that way, and the cable is a "serial port" that goes from the computer to the side of the T-max, and phone cable from the T-max to the beds. |

Rep Power: 57 | Re: Computer Management/Timing Cable I use the 16 station plus a 6 station FST Timer. If I remember, we use a 4 wire, #18 gauge telephone cable from each timer port, to each room. We have 21 rooms so that means we have 21 separate cables coming back to the timer. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: Computer Management/Timing Cable Ah yes this is the tricky part. The wires look like ordinary telephone wires and yes a telephone clip will easily connect into the jacks. However, telephone lines will not work as they only have a single pair of twisted lines. Tannning beds require two twisted pair of wires, with shielding. We just purchase the wiring with pre-made ends from TW Tan in St. Cloud Minnesota. We purchase 25, 50, and 100 feet lengths and keep spares in the event a cabele gets damaged. Daisy chain simply means you start from the Wall manager and connect on wire into the first bed, and one wire out and then proceed to the second bed in and out, and from the last bed you return to the main wall panel. The beds now have to be programmed and given an address. the first bed is bed one, second bed two. When you turn the main panel on the panel will light up and identify beds one, two, three, up to the number in the salon. the beds have to be numbered sequentially based on how you wired them. have fun, pat paradise |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Computer Management/Timing Cable In Settings ... System ... Peripheral Tab ... Type of Digital Timer ... TMax .. Auto Detect ... Save. BUT ... you may have a TMax Manager whose Firmware is not compatible with Helios. When you power on the TMax it will display the Firmware Version ... V4.? is not compatible. Helios Tech Support can send you an TMax update that will correct this issue ... you can also get it off the AdNet disk that comes with the TMax Manager or by downloading AdNet 2000 from Applied Digitial website (appdig.com). Install AdNet2000 ... run it ... Update the TMax Program ... this will result in Firmware Ver 2.13 or 2.31 can not remember which is Helios compatible. |
