Suntouch compatible receipt printer

Hi All:

Do you use the recommended APG cashdrawer and Star Sp2000 receipt printer or do you use another model. I have heard that the star printers can break down fairly frequently. Any comments?

I use the APG cash drawer and Star SP200 printer. No problems with mine.

I have had the same Star 200 receipt printer since I opened in 2001 and have had no problems *knock on wood*. The only thing is I wish I had gone with thermal paper over carbon, with the carbon paper you have to replace Ink Ribbon and paper where thermal all you have to replace is the paper.

My Star SP200 is over 7 years old. Not a single issue with it. Keeps running out of paper though.

Sometimes I just turn it off. That seems to help.

Not a problem. Hey, as long as we are talking SP200, can anyone tell me what paper size they selected under preferences. I just installed a new driver, and part of the text is being cutoff on the right side.

Funny to read this today as I am without the printer since it went for repair last Friday.

I don't think you had to choose paper size. Under the options in Suntouch you just select Star Receipt Printer without Cutter.
